Churches
Churches are not supported by tax dollars;
therefore the donated dollar must be more wisely spent.
Regardless of the size of the structure being built, ICFs
can help bring the cost in line. But cost is
not the only concern. With many churches being
built in residential areas there is a great concern for noise
reduction. Church services often have times
of silence and reflection and outside noises are not welcomed.
ICFs can handle this situation easily because of the
inherent noise reduction qualities of expanded polystyrene and
concrete. The combination of the two makes
for very quiet interiors.
Schools-
Feb. 2008 - Nudura has released several documents
that will be of great interest to you. The safety is apparent -
to read about the savings - click here.
Schools across America are beginning to see
the built-in value of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs)
Safety -. With the added
safety of walls that will withstand wind gusts of 250 mph+,
school district officials and parents can rest easier when the
tornado/hurricane season arrives. Another
plus is the savings the school district will enjoy on heating
and air conditioning. The building can be
comfortable year round, which allows the school to offer more
classes in the summer.
Mold – This is a great concern in the
United States since almost every school has it. However, it is a
non-issue since ICFs do not provide an environment for mold.
Therefore, children are healthier and better able to
concentrate on studies.
Cost – Many think that building with ICFs
is more costly. This is far from true.
ICFs, compared with traditional building materials, are
less expensive and the faster to construct.
Schools built with ICFs can be built in any weather and will be
occupied quicker than traditional school construction.
